BUXTON
SMOOTH FOX TERRIERS

My association with Airedales began when I was a child in England.
I was playing with a friend, when I saw what I thought was an animated teddy bear walking down the road. I said to my "That is an Airedale" and that was the dog I was going to have when I grew up.
It took a few years and a lot of miles later to get there, as I was more into horses then.
I was working in the Fitzwilliam Hunt stables, when on a Saturday night in early November my Dad appeared whilst I was feeding my two horses.
"Hello Dad, what are you doing here?"
"I have come to take you home, we are flying to South Africa on the 28th"
Well I can assure you those two horses got a lot more food than they should have.
I was assured that I would still be able to work with horses when I arrived. But of course I was in for a big shock.
As a sop for my being very unhappy I was sent off to college 'to learn to be a lady'.
Afterwards I went to work in a bookshop, and my workmates of course asked lots of questions and I was soon told to contact a Mrs Griggs. as she has kennels and maybe I could work for her.
That as the saying goes was the start of something good. She introduced me to my first Airedales, I was presented with my first DULWICH MAJOR, as a wedding present, unfortuntely he died fairly soon after got him, I then obtained DULWICH TEMPO OF BUXTON and DULWICH MELODY OF BUXTON.
I had been with Eve for a little while. when she then sent me on a coaster (Small ship that stops at thecoastal town of South Africa) with two of her Airedales, DULWICH JADE AND DULWICH DUET, I was literally thrown in at the deep end. But the people the dogs stayed with (Mr & Mrs Hicks) were very helpful.
Over the many years I have been "In Dogs" I managed to import 3 Airedales, the first was CH: BENGAL LA REYNE OF BUXTON from Mrs Harmsworth of the Bengal Kennels, next was from Anne Sorraghan in Australia, CH OLD IRON G'DAY BUXTON.
Finally I did a puppy swop with Terry Stevens in California, I sent her BUXTON SURFIN' U.S.A. and she sent my beautiful boy CH: BLACKHEATH SUNDANCE KIDD AT BUXTON. (Sonny)
My highest achievemnt in Airedales was breeding the Top Dog All Breeds, CH & INT CH: BUXTON I GET AROUND WITH KAIKOURA.
Smooth Fox Terriers were added in 2002, when I gave my late husband one as a birthday present: STONECOURT SILENT KNIGHT AT BUXTON.
I now have BAZINGELI HUNTERS GOLD AT BUXTON (Callan) and BAZINGELI POLLY-ANNA AT BUXTON (Polly) and BAZINGELI AGENT KENZI OF BUXTON (Kenzi) All three are now SA Champions.
Kenzie had a litter of 4 puppies by Callan and one has been kept and is known as BUXTON CLOUD DANCER (Max) and he will grace the showring next year.
Max has been joined by his half sister BAZINGELI STATE YOUR CASE AT BUXTON (Mo-Anna) Both Max and Mo-Anna have done well at shows, winning a few CC's and Best puppy's, sharing those between them, at a show in February Mo-Anna was Best Baby Puppy in the Terrier group.
Polly is in whelp to BAZINGELI BUSHVELD ROSE, (from 100% imported lines) we await these puppies as we are hoping for something spectacular.
UPDATE: Polly whelped four puppies, 3 dogs and 1 bitch.
Two dog pups are available.
Kenzie also whelped 4 puppies, 2 dogs and two bitches, only the dog pups are avalable.
